Current and forthcoming exhibitions 2010 March 27th to April 22nd - CatStrand Gallery, New Galloway. Solo exhibition of recent work. March 13th to May 8th, Spring Fling taster exhibition at Gracefield Arts Centre Dumfries, and Stranraer Museum for the period April 24th to May 15th. May 28th to May 30th (10:30 to 5:30 every day)Spring Fling, (Galloway’s Open Studio event), Seymour House, Port William. I will also be demonstrating techniques in my studio over the weekend and teas and coffees etc will be on offer on the Saturday and Sunday. May 2nd - June 6th contributor to joint exhibition by printmakers of birds and wildlife at the Birdscapes Gallery, Glandford, Holt, Norfolk. June 5th to July 8th: The Rockcliffe Gallery, Barons Craig Hotel, Rockcliffe. Solo exhibition of recent work. July 3rd to July 31st: Dumfries and Galloway Fine Arts Society summer exhibition at Gracefield Arts Centre (Nb mixed, selective exhibition which I shall be entering). July 16th to August 9th - National Exhibition of Wildlife Art, Gordale, The Wirral. (Nb mixed, selective exhibition which I shall be entering). July 17th to August 15th - Mill on the Fleet, Gatehouse of Fleet. Solo exhibition of recent work. 27th July to August 8th Tolbooth Arts Centre, Kirkcudbright, Impressions of Galloway. Solo exhibition of work inspired by the landscape and wildlife of Galloway. August 20th to August 22nd - British Birdwatching Fair , I shall be selling work from the Art Marquee at the Birdfair, Rutland Water (under the name Hoopoe Prints): see www.birdfair.org.uk for more info. 4th September to October 30th, participant in annual exhibition on the theme of "Country Pursuits" at the Whitehouse Gallery, Kirkcudbright (approx 6 works). Galleries selling my work I currently have work with the McGill Duncan Gallery in Castle Douglas, the Gracefield Arts Centre Craft Shop in Dumfries, the Scottish Showcase Gallery in Kirkcudbright, the Rockcliffe Gallery on the Colvend coast and the Birdscapes Gallery, Norfolk. I also sell direct from my own studio/gallery in Port William (when we are in or by appointment) and from my website: see contact page CV 1998 Purchased etching press and began to build up a studio 1999 Sold 23 prints to the Nuffield foundation 2001 Solo exhibition at Cheltenham Art Gallery Cafe. Also won a place on the Artists' Access to Art Colleges scheme at the University of Gloucestershire. 2003 Work selected for the Wrexham International Print Exhibition 2003/2004 and selected for membership of the Fosseway Artists' Group. 2004 Helios Group exhibition, North Cotswolds. Selected for membership of the Cheltenham Artists group 2005 Rostra Gallery Bath "New Start" exhibition. 2006 Joined the Galloway Artists and Makers group, solo exhibitions in Stranraer and Newton Stuart Libraries, set up own gallery and began to run workshops 2007 Solo exhibitions of bird works at the Wildfowl and Wetlands HQ in Slimbridge and in the WWT centre in Caerlaverock. First year Spring Fling participant. Solo exhibitions at Threave Gardens (National Trust), Gracefield Arts Centre and in the Tolbooth Arts Centre, Kirkcudbright. One of three artists exhibiting together at the Rockcliffe Gallery during August. Work accepted by the National Exhibition of Wildlife Art (one work winning a national prize) and by the Society of Wildlife Artists annual open exhibition at the Mall Gallery, London. Artists book accepted by a touring (international) exhibition called arcadia id est. Commissioned by Gracefield Arts Centre to produce an illustration for a postcard used to promote the Spring Fling. Exhibited at the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust centre at Caerlaverock (solo), in the Winter Warmth exhibition in Falkirk at the Park Gallery and at the Royal College of Edinburgh Physicians' Christmas Exhibition in Edinburgh. 2008 Solo exhibition at the McGill Duncan Gallery, Castle Douglas. Spring Fling participant. Solo exhibitions at the Tolbooth Gallery Kirkcudbright and the Rockcliffe Gallery, Baron's Craig Hotel. Joint exhibitor in a bird artists exhibition at the Gracefield Craft Shop. Works exhibited in the National Exhibition of Wildlife Art on the Wirral and winner at that exhibition of the Birds Illustrated prize for the most oustanding piece of avian art. Work accepted by the Society of Wildlife Artists open exhibition at the Mall Gallery, London. Participant in the annual Winter Warmth exhibition in the Park Gallery, Falkirk and in the 50:50 exhibition at Gracefield Arts Centre. Also exhibited in the Galloway past and present exhibition at the Mc Gill Duncan Gallery, Castle Douglas. Featured in Birds Illustrated magazine. 2009 joint exhibitor at an RSPB exhibition of bird art at Caerlaverock. Spring Fling participant. Solo exhibitions at the Tolbooth Gallery, Kirkcudbright and the Rockcliffe Gallery on the Colvend Coast. Works exhibited at the National Exhibition of Wildlife Art on the Wirral. Solo exhibition at Brantwood House, Coniston. Work exhibited in the Dumfries and Galloway Fine Arts Society summer exhibition and became a full member of that organisation in 2009. Work regularly represented at the Birdscapes Gallery, Norfolk. Exhibited at the British Birdwatching Fair at Rutland water for the first time.
